Add is a descendant of a family that researched the other races that lived on the planet as well demons when they were very scarce on the planet. His entire family was exterminated after being caught researching the forbidden secrets of the demons, and while escaping, Add fell into an Ancient Library and became trapped alone. Fortunately, there was a steady supply of food to sustain himself as well as a large number of books about machines that could live with humans… Mechanoids… Add spent his time reading them and waited for the day he could escape. With his vast knowledge, Add eventually invented a hologram calling device using the parts from broken down prototypes of very early Mechanoids found inside the library. Using the hologram caller’s power, he managed to call another realm, the demon realm. Add had promised his knowledge of the races and of the Mechanoids if the demons got him out of the ancient library. Add was part of the reason that the demons invade the planet... The demons eventually got Add out of the library and brought him back to the demon realm. However, the isolation of being trapped alone for so long left Add insane..
Add’s gave his knowledge of the other races, only to be betrayed by the demons and the current King of Bel at the time, Abel. Abel had taken Add’s slight insanity and through more isolation increased Add’s insanity. The cell that Abel had Add thrown into was just at the edge of the demon realm, just enough to be affected by the odd time distortion of the demon realm. During the time that Add was in the cell he had been experimented on using similar methods that were used to create Kusanagi. This is what gave Add his demon powers, as well as his Magus powers too. Add is now stronger than any Bel (lord) demon due to this.
